AA Says Drink Driving Bill Is Not Enough On It's Own To Deter Drinking & Driving

AA Ireland says the Drink Driving Bill is not the most effective solution to stop drinking and driving.
It comes as the Bill is currently being debated in the Dail amid calls for tougher drink driving sanctions.
Under the proposals a person caught with a reduced blood alcohol limit faces a driving ban for their first offence.
The AA says the Bill will only work in tandem with extra Gardai policing the roads as a deterrent however they say there are now 500 fewer Gardai currently assigned to the Traffic Corps compared to 2009.
Speaking to RedFM News the AA's Barry Aldworth says this number must be increased as a matter of urgency:
