AA urges motorists to be careful as clocks go back this weekend

Motorists are being asked to be extra careful on the roads as the clocks go back this Weekend.

Drivers should be mindful of increased numbers of cars on the roads, and that people may be visiting areas that they are not familiar with.

Over the past five years six people have been killed and 33 seriously injured on Ireland's roads during the October Bank Holiday Weekend.

To date 18 people have lost their lives on Cork roads and the AA is urging all road users to be especially careful as we head into darker evenings.
