Additional accommodation required for Guinness Cork Jazz festival as hoteliers report of full capacity

Calls have been made to the City Council for additional accommodation for Guinness Cork Jazz Festival visitors

Fáilte Ireland are currently in talks with the City Council about the shortage of accommodation Leeside for Guinness Cork Jazz Festival visitors.

Many hoteliers in Cork have reported full capacity for the weekend and calls have been made for the situation to be tackled.

It's the 34th year of the festival which is worth up to €20 million to the local economy and organisers say if it's to grow additional accommodation will have to be secured.

Speaking to RedFM News Programme Director of the Guinness Cork Jazz Festival Jack Mcgowran says action is being taken.
