Aer Lingus Apologises To Passengers Who Had To Sleep In Lisbon Airport After Their Flight Was Cancelled

The passengers were due to fly into Cork airport at quarter to 11 on Saturday night but were told to disembark the plane at 1am on Sunday morning

In a statement, Aer Lingus said the flight was cancelled for technical reasons.

It said that while its teams sought to book accommodation for the affected passengers, availability was extremely limited in the Lisbon region.

The airline have also confirmed that those who were able to book their own accommodation will be reimbursed accordingly.
