Aer Lingus begin talks with staff next Wednesday

Aer Lingus says it will begin talks with cabin crew members next Wednesday - in a bid to prevent repeats of today’s strike action. Almost 30-thousand passengers at Cork, Dublin and Shannon airports are being affected by the 24 hour work stoppage - costing the airline some 10 million euro. The dispute is over roster patterns for cabin crew staff which IMPACT trade union has described as “erratic”, “unfair” and “excessive.” Aer Lingus Spokesperson Declan Kearney says talks will begin next week.
