Aer Lingus flights from Cork five times more expensive than Dublin
Management at Cork Airport have described discrepancies in flight fares between Cork and Dublin as worrying
Cork Airport Officials say they are not directly involved in the setting of airline fares however they do regularly benchmark flights from Cork with other regional airport across the country.
It follows reports that Aer Lingus have "unfair pricing levels" resulting in flights from Cork being up to five times the price of the same flight from Dublin.
Aer Lingus has been asked to explain the reason behind the findings in an effort to tackle the issue of unfair pricing levels in order to increase the flow of traffic through regional airports.
Speaking to RedFM News Cork Airport's Kevin Cullinane says they are anxious to hear what Aer Lingus has to say on the matter.
