Aer Lingus Says The Introduction Of Transatlantic Flights From Cork Is Not On Their Radar Just Yet

The carrier today announced their summer 2019 schedule from Cork Airport
The launch comes as the airlines inaugural Cork to Lisbon flight takes off today and follows the release of a Department of Transport report that says Cork Airport does not need new runways or terminal capacity.
Earlier this week there were calls for the runway to be lengthened to allow for the expansion of transatlantic flights from the airport.
Speaking to RedFM News at today's launch, Aer lingus' Chief Strategy and Planning Officer Greg Kaldalh says there is not enough demand for transatlantic flights in Cork at the moment
