AGSI says Gardaí can't be drug tested without a reason

The group representing Garda sergeants and inspectors says Gardai can’t be drug tested without a reason.
It’s after it was announced that all Gardai would be subject to random drug testing.
The AGSI says it hadn’t been informed of the new system which is due to come into effect in six months.
Former Detective Inspector, Pat Marry, says he sees their point.
"I think it's a good thing, but I can see the point of view of the AGSI.
"When you lookout how Gardai conduct their business, they have to reasonable suspicions and good cause to suspect before they engage with people, to give you an example - to search a house you need a warrant."
