Almost 100% Of Workplace Fatalities In 2019 Were Men

Of the 46 deaths in the workplace in Ireland last year 44 were men
The remaining two were women who were non-workers.
The figures show the most dangerous sectors for workplace fatalities are agriculture, construction and transport.
The latest Health and Safety figures show Cork is one of the worst places for work place deaths in the country with five deaths, three of which were in the agriculture sector.
Speaking to RedFM News Dr Sharon McGuinness of the HSA says it is vital all workers take care and don't cut corners;
