Amazon's Newest EU Renewable Energy Project To Be Located In Cork
Construction on the wind farm will begin this year
Amazon's newest renewable energy project in the EU is to be located in Cork.
It's the second wind farm the online retail company has in Ireland, with the first in Donegal.
When complete, it will provide 23.2 megawatts of renewable capacity, and it's expected to generate 68,000 megawatt hours of clean energy annually.
Amazon has 66 renewable energy projects worldwide, including 51 solar rooftops.
Construction on the wind farm will begin this year is expected to begin contributing to Ireland's renewable energy capacity by 2020.
