Over 500 workers have walked off the job for a second time today in a row over union recognition.
Ambulance personnel in Cork say they are willing to escalate their industrial action in a bid to gain union recognition.
Up to 70 crew in Cork city and County are staging their second work stoppage after the HSE refused to recognise the Psychiatric Nurses Association.
Nationally, over 500 PNA members are involved in today's protest, with two further strike dates planned for February 28th and March 1st.
