Ambulance Turnaround Times Across Cork Under The Spotlight Once Again

Cork ambulance services are among the worst performing in the country.

Figures from the HSE show that Cork and Galway are the worst performers in the country in terms of reaching the set target, of a 20 minute turnaround time for ambulance callouts.

 

The figures come as concerns have been raised about the removal of the dedicated ambulance service in Midleton following a capacity review from the National Ambulance Service.

 

Over 50,000 people in the East Cork area are currently relying on one ambulance stationed in Youghal and one rapid response unit.
