An Bórd Pleanála Have Approved Controversial Solar Farm Outside Bandon

An Bórd Pleanála have given the green light to a controversial solar farm outside Bandon
The proposed €13 million development consists of 40,000 solar panels in the townlands of Finnis and Mishells and will power the equivalent of 1,750 homes.
Locals appealed Cork County Council's decision to grant permission for the project which they say could have a negative impact on their community.
Speaking to RedFM News, Michael Walsh from the Finnis-Mishells Solar Free Valley Group outlines one of the main objections to the plan
