An eight year old girl is running a marathon to raise funds for Fota Wildlife Park

The park received over €10,000 from individual donations last month after it went public with its financial difficulties since the pandemic hit.
Eádaoin O'Brien from Carrigaline will cover a full marathon distance of 42 kilometres this week in a bid to raise €3,000.
Éadaoin expains why she undertook the challenge:
"I have decided I want to do a marathon for Fota to help the animals. It was running out of money because there was no people visiting. I want to raise as much as I can to help the animals. I'm even a vegetarian, I love them so much."
