An Inspection Of 4 Hospitals In Ireland Found Just 1 Was In Full Compliance With Screening For The C-P-E Superbug

HIQA inspections took place during June and July

They examined Our Lady's Children's Hospital, Crumlin; St Columcille's Hospital, Loughlinstown; Croom Orthopaedic Hospital, Limerick; and Mallow General Hospital, Cork.

C-P-E is a very resistant type of bacteria that can cause serious infections.

But HIQA found only Croom Orthopaedic Hospital was in full compliance with H-S-E guidelines.
