An Post issues statement after sudden closure of North Main Street post office
An Post has issued a statement and an apology in relation to the sudden closure of a post office on North Main Street.
Concerned listeners contacted RedFM this morning upon discovering its closure.
An Post says the North Main Street facility is closed temporarily, for operational reasons and its closure is beyond the control of An Post.
Customers who normally attend at the post office to receive Department of Social Protection benefits payments, and carry out routine postal services are asked to go to the GPO on Oliver Plunkett Street.
