An Post Say Shandon Street Post Office Will Maintain Its' Presence In The Community If Possible

The post office is earmarked for closure and despite two rounds of advertisements no applications to operate the branch were received
Locals fear that the closure have a detrimental impact on the community and have supported local meetings called in an effort to avert the closure
Speaking to RedFM News An Post's Angus Laverty has confirmed that there has been an expression of interest in the branch however it could take several weeks before a solid development is made:
