Another fall in dole queues
There has been another fall in the number of people signing on. New figures show the seasonally adjusted total fell by 3,700 in October - to just under 410,000. The rate of unemployment has also fallen by a percentage compared to October last year. 46 per cent of those on the dole are in long term unemployment, or out of work for more than 12 months. The Social Protection Minister Joan Burton admits emigration accounts for some of the reduction: (Click above for audio)
