Anti-Climbing Paint Is Among The Plans For The €1 million Restoration Of Cork's 'Shakey Bridge'

The bridge underwent a structural assessment in December 2016

The report showed the need for significant repairs that if left untreated, could lead to the bridge's closure.

However City Councillors this week approved plans for its repair, which includes new decking, grit-blasting, timber replacement, new lighting, and a coat of anti-climbing paint.

The iconic Cork City landmark, known officially as Daly's Bridge, opened in 1927 and remains the city's only suspension bridge.
