Anti HPV Campaigner Highlights Abuse Faced By Parents Who Oppose Vaccine

An anti-HPV vaccine campaigner says parents who are speaking out against the vaccine have become the subject of taunts, online abuse and hatred.

Anna Cannon is one of a number of parents who say their daughters have experienced serious side effects of the vaccine  for cervical cancer and has been campaigning to raise awareness about it.

The Health Minister and the HSE director general Tony O’Brien recently launched a high-profile campaign where parents have been encouraged to avail of the HPV vaccine.

However parents from support group "Regret" say they're aware of at least 100 young girls who have experienced adverse reactions after they were given the vaccine.
