Anti-water charge protest underway in Ballyvolane

Eight residents from Riverview Estate have formed a blockade at the entrance to their park.
An anti-water charge protest has been mounted on the Northside of the city in the past half an hour.
Eight residents from Riverview Estate have formed a blockade at the entrance to their park in Ballyvolane after Irish Water attempted to carry out metering work last evening.
They say they're willing to continue with their campaign for as long as it takes and say they expect the number attending their protest to grow throughout the day.
Speaking to Cork's RedFM resident John Murphy says people are fed up of the fee being forced on them:
