Appeal For Blood Donors To Support Cork Clinics This Week

Blood supply is beginning to dry up due to the hot weather and the World Cup

Calls have been made for blood donors to donate blood at Cork clinics this week as the supply begins to dry up due to the hot weather and the World Cup..

The Irish Blood Transfusion Service, which needs 15,000 donors a month to maintain a seven-days supply, has described the summer months as a"challenging" time for donations.

Maureen Gill-Emerson from the IBTS told RedFM News that a blood donation is the gift of life
