Appeal For Information On Hit And Run
Gardai are examining CCTV footage in relation to a fatal hit and run in the city last week. Frenchman Gabriel Jean Lege died after being knocked down by a white van on Georges Quay last Thursday. Gardai say their investigation is progressing well thanks to the public but has urged anyone with information on the incident to contact them at Anglesea Street. Officers are now liasing with Mr.Lege's family to repatriate the body back to western France in the coming days. Meanwhile, a close friend of the Frenchman has urged the driver of the van to come forward.
