Appeal for motorists to slow down

Gardaí and the Road Safety Authority are appealing to motorists to slow down this Bank Holiday weekend.
A major crackdown on speeding drivers has been in operation since last Friday and will continue today.
Over the last five years two hundred and fifty-six people have died in June, July and August - making summertime one of the most dangerous times on the roads.
Leeside recent figures show that over ninety people have been killed on Cork roads since 2011.
Speaking to RedFM News Inspector Finbarr O'Sullivan of Angelsea Garda Station says people need to slow down as too many people are dying on Cork roads.
