Appeals to An Bord Pleanala against student accommodation
Plans for student accommodation in Cork have hit a setback.
An Bord Pleanala has had a number of appelas against a proposed 205 bed student development near UCC.
Locals have objected to the build on the Western Road between the River Lee Hotel and UCC, saying it would result in a loss of light and privacy to nearby properties.
The Ziggurat Student Investment Fund want to create 1,000 student beds in Cork within the next four years.
The company say they hoped the investment would help alleviate some of the problems facing students because of the current Housing Crisis.
