Apple Boss re-iterates commitment to Cork

Apple boss Tim Cook has re-iterated his commitment to Cork and has praised the talent pool Leeside.
He met yestreday with a delegation from Cork City Council who are currently on a trip to San Francisco.
The tech giant has been at the centre of allegations made by the European Commission that there was a special deal between the firm and Ireland on tax - something which Apple strongly denies.
The European Commission ruled that €13 billion is owed to Ireland by Apple in unpaid taxes, however both Apple and the Government are set to appeal the ruling.
Fears for jobs have been expressed in recent weeks as the company employs around 5,000 people Leeside and that number is expected to grow once the extension to Apple's European Headquarters in Holyhill is complete...
Speaking on the Neil Prendeville Show on Cork's RedFM after meeting Tim Cook, Lord Mayor Cllr Des Cahill says he received assurances that Apple are committed to Cork:
