Apple's CEO set to jet into Cork

It follows the announcement of 1,000 new jobs at the company.

Apple's CEO Tim Cook is due to jet into Cork this afternoon to unveil 1,000 new jobs.

Speculation is also building that he may bring a special musical guest with him for the jobs announcement - the biggest since the economic crash.

It's not yet known if the positions are short or long term contracts but they will be created over the next two years at the firm's European Headquarters in Hollyhill which is expanding its campus.

Fiona O'Donovan is at Apple's European HQ in Hollyhill for RedFM News.
