Apple's Tax Bill Could Increase By An Additional €9 Billion

The tech giant already faces €13 billion in back taxes
Apple could be hit with an extra €9 billion according to leading state tax experts.
The news comes as The Sunday Business Post reports accountancy firms and business lobby groups are digging in against European proposals to increase disclosure obligations on tax affairs of multinational companies.
The extra €9 billion figure stems from a 2015 restructure that saw Apple move intellectual property to Ireland.
Ireland is disputing the ruling by the European Commission that Apple availed of preferential tax treatment from the Government, however the Taoiseach confirmed earlier this week that the €13 billion tax will be collected in the second quarter of this year.
Apple employs over 6,000 people in Cork and it's European Headquarters is based in Hollyhill in the city
