Ashling Thompson Warned She Will Face Imprisonment If She Doesn't Pay €6,000 To Assault Victims & Charity

Three time all Ireland winner Ashling Thompson has been warned she will face imprisonment for assaulting two women if she does not €6,000 to her victims and to charity.
The 29-year-old received the fine but avoided a conviction after pleading guilty to assaulting Jennifer Coakley and Aoife O'Flaherty in a Cork city nightclub on February 25th 2018.
The Charleville native appeared at Cork District Court yesterday for sentencing and was ordered by Judge Con O'Leary to pay €2,500 to Edel House, €2,000 to Jennifer Coakley, €1,000 to Cuanlee refuge for abused women and children and €500 to Aoife O' Flaherty.
He also warned her that she would be jailed if she did not pay the money by the 30th of September.
