ASTI says government has to plan for the worst case scenario when schools reopen

Teachers unions say they still don't know what the plans are should schools have to close again due to Covid 19.
Around 1 million children are due to return to school over the next week.
Unions say that the recent spike in the rate of infections has raised concerns that some schools may have to close again if localised lockdowns are implemented in an effort to stop the spread of coronavirus around the country.
Ciaran Christy, General Secretary of the ASTI says the government needs to plan for the worst case scenario.
