Astrid wreck lifted from rocks off Cork coast

The wreck of the tall ship - Astrid - has been lifted from rocks off the Cork coast. A crane lifted the badly damaged training vessel in Kinsale harbour to the surface last night - just before 9pm. The ship which ran aground on the 24th of July remained anchored overnight. A salvage team plans to move the wreck on to a barge this morning, and it will be taken to Kinsale pier.
