At least two years waiting lists for autism diagnoses

Two thirds of parents and guardians are waiting at least two years for an autism diagnosis for their child

The waiting time has been labelled as unacceptable by the Minister for Disabilities.

A new survey by As I Am says 66% of parents have had to wait two years or more to receive an autism diagnosis for their child. The Minister for Disability says waiting times like this are unacceptable minister and rhombus also saying they need to be caught and addressed as soon as possible.
