Aughabullogue children show support for Ava's mum Vera Twomey

Schoolchildren from Aughabullogue National School will hold a vigil for Ava Barry this afternoon.
Ava's siblings attend the local primary school, and the children want to show their support her mum Vera Twomey, who is continuing her protest walk from Cork to Dublin.
The children will gather underneath the Aghabulloge crest in support for the family's campaign to enable Ava receive medicinal cannabis.
Vera is currently battling the elements on day 5 of the walk, is calling for the Government to change the legislation surrounding the Cannabis Access Programme.
Speaking to on the Neil Prendeville show on Cork's RedFM Norin Buckley says the community are behind Vera's campaign on behalf of her daughter:
The community will also be supporting the "Stand Up for Ava" campaign between 1 and 2pm tomorrow.
