Author of the MacKinnon report has no practical knowledge of Cork

That's according to the County Mayor who says the scale of the boundary expansion is far beyond sustainable for the future of Cork
The boundary extension proposed in the MacKinnon report would see Cork City become two times larger than Dublin city and would increase the population to over 200,000.
However, the County Council have rejected the report and await for clarification on a number of issues from the Oversight Implementation Group who have been accused of being completely focused on the extension of the city boundary and of not being open to any alternative options.
Speaking to RedFM News, County Mayor Councillor Declan Hurley says there's no logic behind the extent of the proposed boundary by the MacKinnon report.
