Average Car Insurance Premium Set to hit the €1,000 mark

The increases are down to steep compensation payouts, fraud and uninsured drivers
The average motor insurance premium has risen to 970 euro.
Figures show that policy costs are expected to rise by a further 15 percent by the end of 2016.
The increases are down to steep compensation payouts, fraud, uninsured drivers and collapsing insurance companies.
Brendan Nevin, CEO of AA Ireland, says there's a number of structural problems with the insurance market.
