Bail revoked for child rapist
Mr Justice Paul Carney has revoked bail in the case of 72 year old child rapist Patrick O'Brien, who abused his daughter for a decade. The judge said he had no difficulty accepting that granting bail ahead of a possible appeal was inappropriate and something he shouldn't have done. Mr O'Brien of Old Court Avenue, Bray will now begin his 3 year jail sentence.
