"Bandon Is Open For Business"

Traders in the town say while ongoing road closures in the town are having a negative impact on businesses, they're working hard to counteract the decrease in footfall.
Much of the town has been affected by ongoing large scale construction with the upgrade of the water mains and the sewage network, with a local residents recently expressing concerns about the poorly signed diversions and the scale of traffic that's relying on bypass routes.
Local trader Hilary O'Farrell of the Business Association in Bandon says while they all understand that the works have to be carried out they need people to make an extra effort to shop local, and attend the events they're planning for the town:
