Bandon Meeting Hears Floods In The West Cork Town Should Be A Thing Of The Past

Work is continuing on several major infrastructure schemes to resolve the problem of flooding in the town


A breakfast briefing in Bandon heard yesterday that floods in the West Cork town should be a thing of the past.

The meeting saw Cork's County Councillors meeting town business owners and leaders to ensure Bandon's prosperity and potential for the future. 

Recent years have shown business owners of Bandon Town struggling to cope with the devastating  effects of flooding in the area, however that is set to change as work continues on several major infrastructure schemes to resolve the problem.

The council has been working with State Agencies in relation to the development of the town with plans including a flood relief, drainage and water schemes.
