Barnardos Aim To Extend Services To Children At Risk Of Homelessness

Barnardos says it wants the prioritisation of homeless children for services such as breakfast and homework clubs to be extended to children living in overcrowded accommodation and who are at risk of homelessness.

The children's charity has welcomed Government action on housing and homelessness during its first 100 days, in particular the promise of a Prevention and Early Intervention Unit.

However it says Budget 2017 will be the first big test in terms of the Government backing up its pledges.
