Benhaffaf twins celebrate 10 years since separation
Cork's most famous twins are celebrating ten years since their separation today.
Hassan and Hussein Benhaffaf made international headlines when they were born conjoined from chest to pelvis in December 2009.
Their mum, Angie, says she'll never forget the night before their operation.
"It's actually quite surreal - it doesn't feel like ten years.
"They've done so much over the last decade, you just kind of pinch yourself and you can't believe that we've gone this far with the two of them.
"This is my tenth year in a row that I didn't sleep a wink last night.
"If I bring myself back to that night ten years ago, I stayed up the entire night and held them in my arms, scared to put them down, in case I never held them again."
