Black Friday Vital to Cork Businesses

Black Friday has become one of the most important shopping days Leeside, in the run up to Christmas.
That's according to Cork Chamber who say shopping locally today, will help boost the local economy by bringing millions ahead of the busy festive month.
Figures showed that Irish consumers spent over €100 million euro bagging a bargain on Black Friday last year, and retailers in Cork are open early this morning, in anticipation of shoppers hoping to do the same thing this year.
Cork Chamber are calling on shoppers Leeside to support local businesses.
Speaking to RedFM News Conor Healy from the Cork Chamber says many local retailers are now offering online options as well as more traditional sales promotions:
