Blackpool residents live in fear of more flooding

Residents and traders in Blackpool are still living in fear - one year after the village was destroyed by flooding. Hundreds of thousands of euro worth of damage was caused when the river burst its banks on June 28th last year. A local committee has been set up and they'll be meeting with Cork City Council every month to discuss progress on a flood prevention plan. The council has agreed to install cameras and sensors over the coming weeks to act as an early warning system.
