Bord Pleanála Under Pressure To Release Information About Ringaskiddy Incinerator
An Bord Pleanála is under pressure to release information given to it recently by the company planning a €160 million incinerator in Ringaskiddy.
Indaver were obliged to provide more information to the planning board in relation to the proximity of the incincerator's stack to the flight approach paths at the Naval Base following concers expressed by the Defence Department.
A motion for the release of the information at Cork County Council received unanimous support and Cllr Marcia D’Alton will now write to An Bord Pleanála demanding that the details be released to third parties so they have sufficident time to comment on it.
The Cork Harbour Alliance for a Safe Environment have been campaigning against the project and Mary O'Leary of the group told RedFM News she can't understand why Indaver are being involved in what should be a military discussion:
