Boy fighting for his life after Commons Road crash

The 4 year-old boy is in a critical condition at Cork University Hospital


A 4 year old boy is fighting for his life this evening after he was struck by a car at St John's Well on the Commons Road earlier.. 

The boy is understood to have been running away from a wasp at the time of the accident when he ran out onto the road and he was hit by a car..
Eyewitnesses say he became trapped underneath the car and was dragged along the road for about 50 yards..

Emergency services raced to the scene and removed the critically ill boy to Cork University Hospital
