BREAKING: Man in serious condition at Cork University Hospital following stabbing in the City
The incident happened just after 4pm on Magazine Road.
Emergency services were called to the scene on Magazine road at 4:15pm.
Gardaí and the National Ambulance Service attended the scene and took the injured man, whose age is not known at this stage, to CUH where he is said to be in a serious but stable condition.
Gardaí carried out a search of a house in the Glasheen Road area of the city and arrested a man whose age is unknown at this stage and recovered a knife.
The man is currently being held at a Garda Station in the city.
Both the scene at Magazine Road and the house at Glasheen Road are being preserved pending a technical examination.
