Brian Cowen aplogises for Ireland's economic crash

Former Taoiseach Brian Cowen says no-one is as sorry as he is regarding Ireland's economic crash. He made the statement last night in Co Offaly after being criticised for not apologising in a TG4 interview to be aired next week. In the programme, the former Fianna Fail leader says he still stands over the controversial decision to guarantee the country's failing banks and also claims he never saw the financial crisis coming. Speaking to media in Edenderry, he said that as far as he's aware there was no Government in Europe or the Developed World that saw the implosion coming.
