Brian Crowley Will Not Seek Re-Election To The European Parliament In May

"It's breaks my heart to leave a job I absolutely love" Brian Crowley's words at a press conference in Rochestown
The 54-year-old, who uses a wheelchair due to an accident when he was a teenager, says a sustained bout of ill-health over recent years has forced his decision but he says the main reason he's stepping aside is because he can't give the campaign for re-election to the European Parliament in May the attention that it deserves.
The MEP has been widely criticised for his attendance record in the European Parliament since his election however he says that he has been in and out of hospital and has undergone almost 30 operations in the past three years.
When asked by RedFM News if he had come to terms with his decision here's what he had to say:
