British Ambassador Praises Cork City For Showing Solidarity with People of Manchester

A "remarkable gesture of solidarity".
That's how the British Ambassador described the flying of the Union Jack at Cork City Hall in the aftermath of the Manchester terrorist attack.
Robin Barnett made the comments as he signed the Book of Condolence today before meeting with the Lord Mayor Cllr Des Cahill and City Council Chief Executive Ann Doherty.
Over 1,000 people have visited Cork City hall to sign the Book of Condolence since it was opened last Wednesday. It remains in place until next Wednesday.
Speaking to RedFm News British Ambassador Robin Barnett says the people of Cork showed huge support and sympathy for the people of Manchester:
