BUDGET 2021: Department of Finance is forecasting a total loss of approximately 320,000 jobs this year

Minister Donohoe says Department of Finance is forecasting a total loss of approximately 320,000 jobs this year, with this recovering by approximately 155,000 next year
He says the key to reducing our deficit and managing our debt is employment and is making a 3.4 billion euro available in a recovery fund which will be aimed at increasing employment
The Minister says the Employment Wage Subsidy Scheme or a similar scheme will be needed out to the end of 2021 so he will be applying for EU funding towards it's costs
