Buncrana Pier Tragedy Inquest Continues Today

The inquest into the Buncrana pier tragedy has heard how an RNLI diver was unable to open any of the car's doors after it had sank.

The inquest heard that driver side and passenger doors of the car wouldn't open, but the boot door was open in the water.

A garda inspector has told how all the doors were working when he examined the car the next day - and that it was in good, serviceable condition.

The inquest into the deaths of five family members will finish later today.
